Sometimes second best is better than the best since most people will usually pay more attention on the very best. As for Taiwan's second highest peak, by the absence of the first place's crown, Xue Mt. can preserve more nature and has its own character by itself showing different landscapes throughout the seasons.
In the spring, alpine azaleas blossom across the U-shaped valley to form the Chinese word "之" , which is illuminated by the dazzling sunshine. In the summer, under the clear blue skies the giant trees tower with charming elegance. In the fall, the red leaves and the plants fill the valley with magical colors. In the winter, there is a Christmas party where white powder covers the mountain like sugar and cream.
In the main trailhead, the reflection of the service center and the blue skies in the pool is a grateful blessing in the beginning. Into the mountain, the landscapes are so clear, just like if God were to draw several irregular curves with crayons. When you walk into the Black Forest, you'll discover it's full of greenery, sunshine will penetrate the lush foliage falling down to your feet. When arriving the glaciers valley, alpine azaleas with bamboo swinging by the wind with fragrance, like a green tea ice cream with strawberry crumbles, so sweet, so fascinating.
Route Planning：
Night 1
18:00 meet us in Banqiao Station --> 18:30 Go on the journey --> 00:00 Arrive E-land.
(board and lodging: Take care of dinner by yourself. Lodge in E-land’s guesthouse.)
Day 1
05:00 Good morning to E-land, enjoy the breakfast --> 06:00 Go on the journey --> 08:00 Arrive Trailhead --> 10:00 Arrive Qika Hut --> 13:30 Arrive the East peak of Xue Mt. 3201m --> 15:00 Arrive 369 Hut, enjoy dinner & take rest
（Board and Lodging：Breakfast & dinner are included, and please take some simple food as lunch by yourself. Lodge in 369 Hut, please remember to bring your sleeping bag and sleeping pad）
Day 2
02:00 Good morning to the forest --> 04:00 Black forest --> 06:30 Arrive the U-shaped valley --> 07:30 Arrive the main peak of Xue Mt. 3886m --> 10:30 Return to 369 Hut --> 12:30 Return to Qika Hut --> 14:00 Arrive Trailhead --> Return to Taipei Banqiao
（Board and Lodging：Breakfast is included, and please take some simple food as lunch on your own. And take dinner by yourself on the way back to Taipei. Lodge in your sweet home）
Note：
‧ The price of the route is NT.4,800/per person.
‧ The price is including: Transportation／2 breakfast, 1 dinner／2 million insurance／guide／consultation
‧ To enter Xue Mt. needs to apply in advance. So please inform us 35 days before if you want to join this activitie.
‧ Personal things (sleeping bag, sleeping pad, food, water and etc.) need to be born by yourself. If you want to hire a porter, the price is NT 4,000 per 20 kg everyday.
‧ The minimum number of participant is 5.
‧ In case of typhoons, heavy rain and other natural unavoidable factors, you can choose to cancel the trip, we’ll charge NT 300 for processing fee and refund the money, or you can keep out for the next group. For canceling by personal factors, 90% refund if you inform us 20 to 30 days before, 80% refund if you inform us 15 to 20 days before, 60% refund if you inform us 5 to 10 days before.5 days' notice is not refundable.
‧ The guide has the right to make adjustments according to the weather and members’s conditions.
‧ We provide equipment renting, if you want to rent anything, just let us know.
